3 Things Thursday – Happy Birthday Bailey!

20121219-152222.jpg

1. This little cutie turned 2 yesterday! Does that mean I have to stop calling her a puppy? I hope not. She’s still a total Mama’s girl. Sometimes it’s hard to take a good photo of her because she is always right beside me when I’m home. I love it though!

2. There are so many things I need and want to get done. So, I’m trying to limit the time I spend on social media for now. Sometimes I just need a break. We’ll see how long I actually stick to it.

3. I start my Christmas baking tonight, and our first family celebration is tomorrow night. I’m getting so excited about all the family time coming up!

Happy Birthday Charlie!

We brought Charlie home to be a friend and sister to our Bailey. Now I can’t even imagine only having one sweet puppy to love. Charlie is funny, sweet, a little clumsy, and LOUD. She adores Bailey, us, and just about everyone she meets. This girl loves her food, her treats, and her toys. Today is her birthday. I’m sad that now both of our puppies are quickly growing up to not be little puppies anymore. Happy birthday Charlie! We love you.

Happy Birthday, Love You Muches!

A year ago today, I published my first post to this little blog. My vision for the blog was a place to document our newlywed life, diy projects, and tons of recipes. I wrote my initial post and, later, a post about Easter (since deleted due to technical difficulties). Then, I put the blog on the back burner until I had more content to share. Little did I know, just over a month after my first post, our world would be rocked.

It was at one of my lowest points post-tornado that I realized I needed to share the story. I just started typing and a new post was published. I poured my heart into that post, and, before I knew it, Love You Muches had become my outlet. This is my little corner to share my faith, share our life, and write what’s on my mind.

I’ve said it before, but Love You Muches gave me back my love of writing. I will forever be grateful for that. I am thankful for everyone who reads this blog – family, friends, and readers I don’t know personally. Thank you for your encouragement and love.

There is one person who deserves a special shout out on Love You Muches’ birthday. To M, thank you for being the husband you are. Thank you for supporting this hobby of mine. Thank you for listening to me as I bounce ideas for the blog around. Thank you for not rolling your eyes when I talk about blogging and for understanding how important this outlet is to me. Without you, there would be no Love You Muches.

A year ago I would have never imagined that I would love blogging as much as I have. So much has happened in my life this past year. I am not the same person who wrote that first post on March 22, 2011. There have been mountains I’ve climbed and mountains I’m still climbing. Despite everything, this has been a great year. Things will only get better. Life is good!

A Look Back:

Top Posts – These have been some of my most read posts.

These are some of my personal favorite posts from the past year.

Moving Forward:

I have a few ideas on where to go from here, but I would really love to hear your opinion. Please leave a comment, send an email, send a tweet, or send a message in a bottle telling me what you would like to see more or less of in our second year!

Thanks again for reading. I can never say thank you enough! I love you all muches.

Bailey and Charlie

It’s been a while since I dedicated an entire post to photos of Bailey and Charlie. Our puppies are getting so big. Charlie had her surgery last week. Thankfully, she is doing just fine!

Charlie's new thing is hiding her eyes with a toy while she naps.

Almost as soon as I picked her up from the vet, Charlie was begging for a treat.

Hi lovely readers. I was all set to start a new mini series today, but I couldn’t do that first post justice. I’m feeling a bit under the weather and am in a sinus crud fog. So I thought instead I would share a photo of Bailey. Our first child. A mama’s girl. A bit of a princess. Our sweet, sweet puppy.

Happy Friday!

Three Things Thursday – Games and Things

1. The theme of our New Year celebration was Dominoes. On Friday night, we went to my grandparents’ house to play Dominoes. I didn’t feel very well, so I just helped M for a couple of rounds then went to take a nap. On New Years Eve, we got together with some of my cousins to play again. This is the second year in a row we have done this. We had a blast. I think we should have more “just cousins” get togethers throughout the year!

2. Instagram is my new obsession.

It’s my baby in a baby bed!

3. Bailey is terrified of all dogs except for dachshunds. I don’t get it. She’s great with my parents’ dogs and my sister’s puppy. When she sees other dogs, she spazzes out and becomes mean and ferocious. How do we get her out of this?

Puppy Love

Bailey and Charlie have a new cousin, and I have a new puppy niece. She’s adorable. I’d like to introduce all my readers to Miss Betty Jo.

I hold my sweet puppy niece Betty

Like Bailey and Charlie, Betty is a miniature long haired dachshund. She is my sister Laura’s graduation/Christmas present.

Is this not one of the most precious things you've ever seen?

Betty weighs 2.6 pounds right now. I miss Bailey and Charlie being that little! Having another puppy around is going to be a blast. I can’t wait until my two meet their cousin!

There is absolutely nothing like puppy love. Welcome to the family, Betty Jo! We love you already :)
