Hi y’all,
I just wanted to explain my lack of posts recently. We moved back into our house this weekend 
. The repairs on the house are only 95% complete, but it is livable once again. We have been busy moving and unpacking and cleaning. I haven’t even gotten my laptop out yet. Hopefully we can get things back to normal soon! Normalcy is much needed.

Two months ago today, we were forced into a “new normal”. This is why our life has been stressful lately. The debris is cleaned up, but no repairs have started on the house. There’s a lot to be done! As our contractor said, our “house took a big POP!”. I miss our house.
Just a quick note to say – “We’re Okay!” Our house was hit by one of the many Alabama tornados on April 27, 2011. The house is still standing but has some damage. The tornado wasn’t on the ground yet when it went over our neighborhood. We were home in the hallway at the time. Other neighborhoods weren’t so lucky. I have seen complete devastation that I never thought I would see in my little community.
I am heartbroken for my state, my community, and my county. I am heartbroken for my college town – Tuscaloosa. I’m thankful for my blessings, and I know it could have been a whole lot worse. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for Sweet Home Alabama. We are still waiting on an adjuster to come tell us what all needs to be done. Until the repairs are made, we will be living with my parents.
