We’ve gone to work, cooked, and cleaned. We’ve watched a lot of Netflix shows. We’ve gone to see movies and eat with friends. We’ve gone to friends’ houses. We’ve gone to church services.
Bailey decided that a fabric basket is the perfect place to lay every morning.
And Charlie mourned the fact that we were out of treats.
M bought me these pens at Wal-Mart while we were shopping for groceries. He picked them out and everything.
Lately, I’ve been watching what I eat. I’ve been trying to cut out greasy and fried food and eat more fruits and veggies. I’ve only been drinking water and unsweet tea with the occasional cup of coffee or glass or chocolate milk as treats. I’ve had lots of doctor appointments, and I’ve been enlightened on how important it is for me to lose this weight. I’ve been going to the gym almost every day. I still don’t enjoy exercising, but at least I get to read while on the elliptical.
I made this pound cake for my grandmother’s birthday party. It was one of the best things I’ve ever made, and I was sad I didn’t get to eat more of it because of my diet. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, though!
We celebrated Ree’s birthday and enjoyed being with family at my aunt’s house that afternoon.
We’ve been on walks with the dogs. Charlie gets scared by a photo of a real estate agent on a For Sale sign.
The weather was cool summer last weekend. I can’t ever remember it being in the 70s in August in Alabama before! I covered up with a blanket while out on the back porch Saturday night.
I’ve been playing around with fabric combinations and planning out my next few quilts. Sadly, I’ve realized I’m just not capable right now of making quilts larger than an oversized throw or twin size.
Lately, we’ve just been living our simple little life. These are the things I don’t want to ever forget. Well, except for the diet. I would forget it if that was an option
