Pinning

Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest? I think we all know by now that it is a wonderful place for getting ideas. At the same time, it can also give this impression that everyone else but us is out there creating and trying amazing things. I sometimes get annoyed when I see captions like “this will change your life” or “best ever so-and-so”. Really? Will having so-and-so make my life fulfilled? Am I not good enough if I don’t have so-and-so? Maybe it’s just me. I’ve learned to look past the little grievances I have with Pinterest to the bigger picture. It can be a great source of inspiration (and procrastination)! After a little time away, I got back on the site and found some gems. These are some of the things I’ve been pinning lately.

Quilts – My favorite use for Pinterest by far is browsing beautiful quilts made by some super talented folks. The blue and white of this quilt is so refreshing. It just screams breezy summer days to me, and the chevron print is a nice modern touch.

Home Decor – I used Pinterest just about every day when we were remodeling our house. It was my go to source for paint colors. Now I enjoy looking at photos of things that are different from what we have. I love this white chair. It’s so crisp, but the blanket makes it look cozy.

Clothes – I like cute clothes. Even though I’m on a shopping ban, it’s still fun to look. This dress from Anthropologie is out of my price range but oh so adorable.

House Inspiration (or Pinterest is amazing)

This week, M and I are going to finalize our choices for paint color, flooring, and tile for the house redo. I’ve had all things house, paint, and decor on the brain lately. Pinterest (www.pinterest.com) has been a great place to find inspiration photos. There are so many options. How’s a gal supposed to choose? Anyone else use Pinterest?
